Ciara is a photographer and visual artist based in Glasgow, originally from the Scottish Highlands. Her artistic vision is deeply rooted in storytelling, a passion nurtured amidst her upbringing.

With extensive experience in textiles, portraiture, and visual storytelling, Ciara enjoys working commercially for brands, creatives, and businesses, bringing her unique perspective to each project.

In her documentary work, Ciara explores themes such as health and social justice, with a particular emphasis on advocating for women's rights in the arts. Her work captures both everyday moments and profound experiences, characterised by a rich palette of colours and raw textures that define her distinctive artistic style.

Technically versatile, Ciara employs both analogue and digital film processes, often experimenting with various techniques. Her interdisciplinary approach involves drawing inspiration from other artistic media to inform her photographic practice. Ciara has a particular interest in print and bookmaking as modes of communication and output, viewing these as powerful vehicles for her visual narratives.

Driven by a profound curiosity about people and places, Ciara's artistic journey has taken her in search of authentic perspectives and untold narratives. With a background in education, Ciara frequently engages in community projects, finding this collaborative approach both enriching for her own work and impactful for the communities she serves.
